Michael Staniland

Michael Staniland set up Focus Management Consultants Ltd with Stephen Jones in 1990 after spending 10 years at Marks & Spencer where he led a Buying Team in the Food Division. He is responsible for the operational success of the business and works in close partnership with clients at senior levels across a wide variety of resourcing and strategic HR assignments. Michael's network of candidates across the food and drink industry is extensive. Based in Bournemouth, Michael works from there and regularly from the FMCL offices in London and Bollington.

Stephen Jones

Stephen Jones set up Focus Management Consultants 21 years ago with Michael Staniland. He is responsible for the strategic development and marketing of the business, but is also still involved in the day-to-day operations, helping colleagues, clients and candidates a like. When not in work, Stephen dotes on his three girls and the family mutt getting away to Wales with them as often as possible. He is passionate about his music, football and great food - sourcing, cooking and eating.

Becki Deeran

Becki is a Recruitment Consultant that joined the team in September 2011. She recently graduated with a 2:1 in Business Management and Human Resource Management from Sheffield Hallam University. She currently sits under the Focus Interim division. As a new consultant she has settled in comfortably and enjoys being part of the team at Bollington, Macclesfield. She enjoys learning about recruitment and the food and drink industry.

Emma Blackshaw

Emma is part of the Administration team and works for Consultants within the Focus Management and Focus Graduate divisions. She has worked within different sectors of administration for the last 8 years and this is her first at experiencing the fast paced world of recruitment. Outside of work she has a family and pets including two cats, two rabbits and two tarantulas - the arachnids are her partner's and she just has to let them live in the house, apparently the shed is too cold for pet spiders!

Alex Rodger

Alex graduated in 2010 with a 2.1 in Business Studies from Sheffield Business School, SHU. He looks after the marketing responsibilities at FMCL and works in Search Engine Optimisation, Social Media, and Email marketing amongst other areas. He has returned to FMCL after completing an industrial placement as a Research Intern in 2008/2009. His experience includes work in a restaurant, at a scuba diving equipment manufacturer, a textiles import and distributor, a corporate social branding consultancy and recruitment. When out of work, he spends most of his time in the gym with the ultimate goal of becoming Arnold Schwarzenegger. Alex is also captain of Unathletico Madrid, the FMCL football team.
