As a highly respected and innovative manufacturer of added value chilled food products, our client is currently enjoying a period of sustained growth. As a result an opportunity has arisen for a skilled, operationally strong Finance Director to join the business at one of its UK sites.

Job Description

Reporting to the Managing Director on site, the main purpose of this role is to take responsibility for all aspects of the financial management within the division.

The successful candidate should be a highly visible, hands-on Finance Director within his/her current business environment and will have a track record of building credibility at Group level through the effective generation and dissemination of data. This will not always prove an easy task and suitable candidates will need to demonstrate resolve to develop Best Practice within the business. The ideal candidate will hold a recognised accounting qualification and be able to demonstrate evidence of financial and commercial analysis. Strong people skills and the ability to contribute strategically to the Executive Team structure are essential. You will show evidence of driving process improvements and implementing business growth oriented plans.

You will be required to implement continuous financial audit and control systems to monitor the performance of the business unit, its flow of funds, the adherence to the budget, the expenditures, the income, the cost of sales and other budgetary items. You will liaise extensively on a cross-functional basis with Commercial, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Product Development colleagues.
