Quality Manager

Job Description

Our client is a major food manufacturer based in the East Anglia area, who currently require a 'hands on' shop floor focused Quality Manager who can monitor, sustain and challenge Technical and Quality food standards within their plant. Not afraid to challenge current practices this Quality Manager food focused role is responsible for the maintenance and promotion of quality standards, hygiene and GMP through an effective cross-functional technical team working with site manufacturing, Engineering and the Central Technical/NPD function.

Operating as the primary interface for customers, accreditation bodies, the local EHO, consumer services and the central Technical, NPD and Marketing teams you will have a pivotal role in dealing with all product quality issues that arise.

Managing and supporting a sizeable team you will provide a comprehensive Quality Assurance and Technical service to the manufacturing function as well as the business as a whole. Auditing, raw material inspection will be a critical and integral part of this opportunity. Essentially you will be making sure that the operation complies with all legislative, quality and ethical standards with regard to food hygiene and staff management, sustaining the effective delivery and compliance to the Quality Management System (QMS) to site and group expectations.
