Group Innovation Development Chef

Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a New Product Development Chef to lead product innovation for a major chilled food Group, becoming the driving force of food developments across a number of exciting product categories and enabling the group to maintain their market leading position. You will need to be a Chef who has worked in some great kitchens; AA Rosette and Michelin status preferred, and possess a real passion and depth of food knowledge; previous experience of working in the food manufacturing sector would be a definite advantage. You will be tasked to spearhead projects that will deliver in new product areas, first to market ideas and deliver on upgrading and extending existing product ranges; branded and own label. This is a high profile role and as such will require excellent interpersonal skills. Not only will you be accountable for driving product innovation presenting internally to the senior team and to key retail customers you will work closely with site product development teams sharing your knowledge encouraging and educating, hosting practical workshops. You will continually seek out new ingredients and products forging strong working relations with raw material suppliers. Being a team player is vital, a supporter and receptive to others ideas and continuous improvement, not afraid of challenge or change.
