Job Description

What will you do?
You'll do a real job from day one, shouldering your fair share of responsibility and working on key business projects involving foods like pasta and beans. It'll give you the chance to experience the full product development process - from project brief and first ideas through kitchen and pilot plant experiments to scaled-up factory production trials and product launch.

What do we look for?
You'll have least 280 UCAS points and be on course for a 2:1 or above in Food Science, Food Technology or a related subject. On top of that, you'll need to be:

  • keen to turn good ideas into reality
  • passionate about food and the food industry
  • ready to challenge the status quo
  • determined to learn and develop
  • tenacious enough to handle several projects at once
  • happy to work flexible hours and travel
  • a great communicator who loves teamwork.

What does the training include?
On-the-job training, courses, conference and networking events, a business mentor, a personal development plan and more.

When does it start?
June 2010.

Where will you be based?
At Kitt Green near Wigan, Greater Manchester.

What are the rewards like?
Very competitive. As well as a £16,000 starting salary, expect 27 days' holiday plus business bonuses.
