Product Development Technologist

Job Description

Our fmcg food client based in the Northamptonshire area is currently seeking an experienced Product Development Technologist with food related experience and ideally with a chef related background. You should have a real passion for Food, creativity and an innovative approach, a desire to work for a company that provides food solutions to the market place - this role can meet those requirements. This role will focus on the development of new product lines, through to launch and will call for close liaison with customers and suppliers. Your creativity and project management skills will drive through concepts, enabling the critical path to be maintained and products launched successfully. You will also hold responsibility for showcasing products to all major UK retailers through a variety of bakery and recipe dishes so a background in a Chef or Home Economy environment would be a major advantage. Through the close liaison with the quality team you will ensure quality throughout the development process.

We are looking for graduate calibre candidates in a Food Science or related discipline with experience working within a product development team who can work with customers and suppliers on new product concepts. The ideal candidate would react willingly to change and would prefer a constantly changing and varied work schedule. You will need to be enthusiastic and a strong team player with the ability to motivate others and have excellent presentation and organisational skills.
