Business Improvement / Development Technologist

Job Description

My client is a leading manufacturer of chilled food products to the major retailers in the UK. They now have an exciting opportunity to join their purchasing department as a Business Improvement Technologist. This is a diverse role where you will be involved in everything from kitchen samples, writing customer specifications, generating packaging artwork and identifying any technical issues with the project. Working with the Category Manager, Category Purchasing Manager and lead improvement technologist you will also be heavily involved in supporting launches and trials to the retailers.

This manufacturer is a well-established business that puts food technology and innovation at the top of their priority so the successful candidate needs to be passionate about food with an understanding of how retailers work. You will ideally have a food related degree and will have worked within a food manufacturer in a development or technology-based role.
