Job Description

Brand/NPD Technologist, Bedfordshire: This blue chip branded food business is expanding its R&D team with the appointment of a further Technologist to help manage project in the UK and overseas. To be considered for the role, you will need to have a minimum of two-three years' experience of managing the critical path for food NPD projects, from concept development right through to factory trials. Furthermore, you will be comfortable working up concepts and samples in the kitchen as well as ensuring artwork and packaging meet specification.

Good communication skills are essential as you will be working with a number of different internal departments as well as external suppliers. Firstly, you will play a key role in scoping up the brief with the Marketing team. This will include close liaison with consumer groups throughout the process to ensure the project continues to meet market needs.

You will need to demonstrate a track record of launching products, preferably branded, onto the UK market, ideally working for a blue chip food manufacturer at some point in your career. Competency in a European language would be a real plus too.
