HR Officer (Food Manufacturer)

Job Description

Working closely with the Senior HR Officer and HR Manager you will provide full and proactive HR services for this fast paced food processing business. This business is renowned for the size and scale of the operation and manufacturers high quality products for all of the major multiples.

Key responsibilities will include:
Develop and deliver the annual HR plan for area (with support from the Head of HR) and ensure that the line managers in the area own the HR plan.
Take an active involvement in resource planning for area
Recruitment of personnel
Provision of support to line managers for Recruitment and Selection, Disciplinary, Grievance, Conflict handling, Communications and Absence management.
Implement HR processes and ensure that Company and legal requirements are complied with
Provide support, coaching and training to line managers to empower them to own the HR processes for their people
Co-ordinate and support training and development across the business, including retention, training and development of employees in own area
Monitor the delivery of training against the plan.
To act as a 'barometer' to the Head of HR, by identifying potential issues or concerns to them. 
You will have excellent communication skills with the confidence to coach and train line managers in all HR matters from writing job descriptions, training and driving retention initiatives to managing absence.  You will have experience of working in a Human Resources department and be part/fully qualified within CIPD. You will be self motivated and able to act on your initiative whilst seeking guidance from the other Senior members of the team. Ideally you will have food manufacturing experience and be able to cope in a fast moving, high pressure food environment.
