Engineering Shift Manager

Job Description

We are recruiting for an Engineering Shift Manager at a blue chip food manufacturer. You will optimise top quality production to meet business demands, leading and working alongside a team of operatives in line with company safety, quality and hygiene standards and Corporate Values and to carry out pro-active and reactive maintenance on the production lines. You will be the responsible Engineer on shift whilst at the same time managing a small team of production operators. You will be responsible for leading, developing and motivating the shift team through effective recruitment, induction, coaching, mentoring and training. You will carry out pro-active and reactive maintenance on production lines and ensure KPI's are met/exceeded. You should have a multi-skilled, engineering background (preferably within a food manufacturing environment) with City & Guilds or BTEC mechanical/electrical engineering qualification (or similar). We are looking for a successful track record of developing production teams. This client is part of a large group and offers excellent career progression.
