Raw Material Specification Technician - Food Manufacturing

Job Description

Our client is an own label chilled food manufacturer supplying the major retailers. As raw material specification technician you will generate and maintain accurate ingredient and packaging specifications for all raw materials in line with customer and company demands, to maintain supplier approval documentation and assist the Supply Chain Technologist with raw material documentation.

You will ensure new ingredient and packaging specifications are generated in an approved format for all raw materials to agreed timescales. Review and maintain ingredient & packaging specifications and liaise with raw material & packaging suppliers to gather required / missing information. You will review & maintain supplier approval documentation.

Additionally you will assist the Supply Chain Technologist in creating QA Goods In Specifications, compiling trend analysis of Supplier performance through Vendor Rating Systems and maintain Raw Material Procedures & Work Instructions.

Ideally you will have a food related qualification, be computer literate, having worked on ingredients specifications systems. You will come with knowledge of food, food processing and food legislation to produce information which complies with legal and customer requirements an advantage.
