Process Technologist

Job Description

Food Process Technologist based near Edinburgh: Reporting to the Senior Process Development Technologist, this role is about progressing approved recipes and projects through the factory. You will be required to achieve agreed launch timescales and costs, planning and requesting ingredient requirements for factory trials. This will include collating key information such as process yields and losses to ensure the most efficient and cost effective processes are in place.

Strong people and communication skills are required as you will be working closely with manufacturing/technical teams to facilitate trials and to make sure products are produced to specification and within food safety/quality guidelines.

You will need to have experience/qualification in food production/engineering/food science and be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the food development process in a manufacturing environment, ideally a chilled food one.
