Quality Assurance Manager

Job Description

This client is a sector leading and growing food manufacturing business supplying two of the leading major UK retailers. They are best known for their product quality and innovation. As part of the truly challenging growth agenda and in line with the recent restructure of the Technical team they are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Manager.

Reporting to the Technical Controller you will have full responsibility for the site QA function and responsibilities will include assisting in implementing BRC requirements and maintaining/exceeding customer codes of practice. Building internal relationships with the production teams you will ensure that issues are investigated promptly, root-causes identified appropriate corrective actions implemented and monitored. You will also be an active member of the site HACCP team.

With a relevant food-production background, you will posess knowledge and understanding of BRC version 5 and will have actively implemented various quality systems. You will have a good knowledge of the retailer's codes of practice, demonstrate excellent communication skills and be proactive and forward thinking.
