Interim Category Marketing Controller

Our client is an innovative food manufacturer who produces a wide range of exciting branded and own label products for the UK retail market. They are now seeking the talents of a successful Category Marketing Controller to be based in Scotland on a 6-9 month contract.

As Category Marketing Controller your remit will be to gain competitive advantage for the business by providing in depth and actionable category insight to retailers. You will deliver and influence category development in areas spanning across range management, merchandising and future NPD launches.

You will interpret data into insight, then transfer that insight into actions, and then deliver those actions to the customer. You will work closely with NPD, sales and marketing to create account action plans and you will then support this by attendance to customer meetings and presentations.

You will have a successful background in Category Management within a FMCG environment in branded and own-label products with a sound understanding of retailer ranging and marketing strategies. You will feel comfortable analysing, identifying and working with data providers such as TNS, IRI, and Nielson. You will be competent when presenting to buyers from Major Multiples and coupled with strong communications skills, you will be highly numerate and commercially focussed.
