The challenge is - what's next?  Not in six months or a years time, but in two or three years from now and beyond?  What will "wow" the consumer and help deliver sector leading growth, exploiting new channels and maintaining the leading edge of innovation across the product categories. It requires a real step-change in business thinking to develop a visionary but commercialy achievable innovation pipeline.

We are looking for a Director of Insight & Innovation who will break through every potential constraint and inject long term strategic innovation into the business.  This will be founded on considered, pragmatic, well founded insight and category research, and be delivered through a team.

Reporting to the MD and playing a key role on the operating board of the business, this individual will have overall accountability for the development of the Innovation strategy and its delivery. They will be accountable for the development of a rolling three year programme that delivers commercial targets through new products, categories, channels and routes to market.  This will be initiated through an insight-led approach to the growth agenda, improving understanding of key markets, customers and consumers to enable new segment specific developments that turn into winning market propositions.

To achieve this, the successful candidate will lead and develop a team currently numbering 10, helping to establish a high performance culture and industry best practice.

Working with Commercial colleagues you will have personal involvement with all major customers, also helping shape current plans that complement the exciting future strategy.  It is key you will be seen as a trusted, compelling and credible senior professional by the customers.

Another exciting part about this role is the breadth of influence and involvement - supporting the board to transform the culture and working practices of the business to support the new strategy.
