Finance Manager

Summary

The main purpose of this Finance Manager role is to provide sound Financial information for both the operating site and also to the larger parent group. This role will be overseeing a large team of Management Accountants and Accountant Assistants, so strong management skills and experience of managing change will be critical.

Job Description

You will be actively involved with decision making within the Executive Team whilst providing the relevant financial information in order to support decisions. This is an exciting role as it requires a dynamic Finance Manager able to make decisions and influence senior managers.

You will work with the various business areas and with your team to ensure that monthly management accounts, forecasts and strategic/operating plans are accurately prepared in accordance with the business plan. Experience is needed in fully understanding the accounting processes, including those from a regulatory and statutory perspective. The position will work closely with Production, Purchasing, Planning, HR and Technical to ensure that costs are continually monitored and business performance is achieved.

The candidate required for this role will be a qualified accountant with a strong analytical background, FMCG / manufacturing knowledge together with the ability to influence at all levels. You must be able to demonstrate a broadly based commercial acumen rather than purely a finance background.
