Raw Material Quality Manager

Job Description

This role will be working on a food manufacturing site that works closely with its core customers in a highly developed partnership. This site has high standards of technical excellence and is looking for someone to strengthen its relationships with its core suppliers. You will be tasked with managing the Quality Intake team within the Technical department in order to ensure that all raw materials arriving at the factory meet both Technical and Customer specifications. These raw materials must be of the desired quality and safety standards. You will also actively monitor and influence the performance of raw materials through the factory processes, to finished product and throughout shelf life while working closely with the QA department, operations and procurement to deliver quality product and continuous improvement. Ideally you shall possess a quality focused background ideally within the chilled food sector. Perhaps the ideal candidate will be a QA Manager, looking for a new challenge on the way to becoming a Technical Manager, but is frustrated by day to day fire fighting issues on the shop floor.
