National Accounts Manager - Retail

Job Description

My client is a major chilled and frozen foods manufacturer with a reputation for products of the highest manufacturing and quality standards. Due to expansion they now require to bolster their commercial retail division with the expertise of a results focused and financially astute Commercial/National Accounts Manager. Working within a very positive and family focused culture with a highly supportive management team your key objectives will include:

Managing existing retail accounts to ensure growth and margins targets are achieved as well as developing new business both with new retailers or new categories within existing retailers. An integral part of your function will also be to continually assess the market place for new opportunities and being aware of competitor activity. Being very goal orientated you be familiar with delivering customer targets and via a regular series of reviews ensuring that the customer partnership is enhanced professionally addressing key issues and strategic development.

Ideally you will have at least 5yrs experience in a commercial/account management role with specific experience of chilled or frozen foods with a major retailer and involvement with a Product Development team to extend your offering. Computer literate you should have a proven track record of opening new accounts and developing existing accounts through new product introduction or developing existing ranges. There is a strong team focused environment so you should also be a team player with a can do attitude with a good sense of humour.
