Product Manager

Job Description

An experienced Product Developer is required for this newly created role within one of the UK's major Food Groups. The company is well known for its own branded products that are recognised and trusted for their delivery of international flavours. This Product Manager role will manage the retailer own label side of the business.

A hands-on developer, you will be able to project manage from brief through to launch, co-ordinating internally and with suppliers, and being responsible for liaising directly with multiple retail clients. To enable you to fulfil this role effectively you should have had recent direct retailer contact and be confident managing the critical path, maintaining an eye for detail and communicating well at all times. You will have the full support of cross-functional teams but will need to have well honed influencing and leadership skills. Working closely with category and insight teams you will be a key driver identifying customer needs and gaps in the market that will result in potential new business opportunities.

We envisage the ideal candidate for this Product Manager role to have had a number of years in NPD with a good mix of concept and process understanding - we will consider experience from chilled, frozen or ambient food manufacturing backgrounds.
