Site Manager - Food Manufacturing

Job Description

Our client has a blue chip reputation with multiple sites, within a fast paced food manufacturing environment. They have an immediate requirement for a Site Manager, reporting into the Head of Manufacturing.
We are looking for a background in food manufacturing/FMCG, with a track record of Site leadership. The remit is to ensure the safe, accurate, cost effective and timely production of all food manufactured products. Career achievements need to be tangible operational improvements using leadership, manufacturing methodologies e.g. continuous improvement and lean manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be of graduate calibre and have a strong track record in manufacturing within FMCG "blue chip" environment and be commercially aware and highly numerate with the ability to analyse and interpret manufacturing data. A sharp intellect and critical reasoning skills are required, with interpersonal skills required to build an effective Site Management Team. You will have personal presence and professional credibility necessary to have an immediate impact with internal contacts and central functions. You will be a confident operator with a wealth of operations experience in manufacturing eg bakery, dairy, brewery, toiletries or pharmaceutical.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

· Manufacturing experience e.g. SIC, Lean techniques
· High standard management
· Leadership and Coaching skills
You will have managed a number of teams via the shift management tier and will bring the charisma and drive required at this level. Numeracy and analytical skills are required to sit close to the operation and lead the team effectively.
