Raw Materials Manager

Job Description

Raw Materials Manager required for a chilled foods manufacturer based in North Lincolnshire. Reporting into the Technical Manager you will be the key contact for raw materials related queries from both end customers and internal departments, managing raw materials and packaging in line with the BRC standard ensuring product safety, quality, and legality are never compromised.

You will be responsible for:

· Technically approving all new raw material and packaging suppliers.
· Ensuring full and adequate specifications are held for all raw materials and packaging.
· Investigating raw material related complaints and non-conformances.
· Maintaining a full database of ingredient specifics for customer requirements (e.g.
Allergens, origins etc.)
· Providing support to the purchasing department.
· Assisting with technical visits and BRC audits as required.

To be successful in your application for this Raw Materials Manager opportunity you will be educated to a minimum of HND level and have experience of working with raw materials and suppliers within a chilled food manufacturing environment. You will have good working knowledge of food ingredients, a high level of computer skills and be familiar with the requirements of the major multiples.
