Job Description

Multi-site food manufacturer producing a mix Branded and Own Label products for the UK retail market are now seeking the talents of a successful Category Manager to be based in the East Midlands area. Joining a team with ambitious plans, this is an exciting opportunity to shape the company's Category Management Strategy.

As Category Manager your remit will be to gain competitive advantage for the business by providing in depth and actionable category insight to retailers. You will deliver and influence category development in areas spanning across range management, merchandising and future NPD launches.

You will interpret data into insight, then transfer that insight into actions, and then deliver those actions to the customer. You will work closely with sales and marketing to create account action plans and you will then support this by attendance to customer meetings and presentations.

The working environment is dynamic and fast paced and requires a candidate with a successful background in Category Management within a FMCG environment. You will posses a sound understanding of retailer ranging and marketing strategies and feel comfortable analysing, identifying and working with data providers such as TNS and Nielson whilst being personable team player who is confident when presenting to buyers from Major Multiples.
