Despatch Shift Manager

Job Description

Despatch Shift Manager required to join a progressive FMCG Food business based in Middlesex. Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern you will be responsible for recruiting, motivating and developing the despatch team to ensure they achieve the goals and targets agreed without compromising health and safety and product quality. You will be required to attend management meetings to understand operational issues, strategy and planning, carry out inter and cross-departmental projects and secondments to implement necessary improvements to the operation and keep within labour and trunking budgets.

The successful Despatch Shift Manager will be a confident and driven Manager with knowledge and experience of managing teams in an FMCG environment. You will have experience of using SAP or equivalent software, actioning and understanding HR policies and the law in relation to the employment of people and implementing transport legislation e.g. Working Time Regulations, Tachograph regulations etc. You will have project management experience and proven man management and leadership skills with the ability to support and develop those around you.
