Product Developer - Food

Job Description

A innovative food manufacturer who supplies a leading range of both branded and own label dairy
products to the UK retail market are now looking to strengthen their development team by recruiting a product developer to support the NPD process.

Reporting to the Research and Development Manager and working closely with the technical, production and commercial teams, you will be responsible for managing the technical and development aspects of projects from brief conception to factory production.

Key Responsibilities will include:

- Developing new and existing product ranges
- Writing and working on recipe specifications
- Identifying and evaluating process improvements
- Conducting factory trials
- Supporting the commercial function with retailer contact

You will be degree qualified in a food related subject with a proven expertise in NPD from within ideally a dairy or chilled environment. Creativity, results driven and strong project management skills will be essential to the success of the role, as will good sensory skills, following scientifically robust approaches and demonstrating a sound understanding of food quality regulations.
