Technical Manager - Major retailer relationship builder

Job Description

My client is part of a major food group who supply both major leading brands and own label ranges of products to all the major UK multiples. Very much a pace setter in their field they have an excellent reputation for NPD and the quality of their products. In view of the emphasis on NPD the key focus of this role will be customer relationships and engagement, both professionally and socially. With robust technical systems already in place you will ensure that the highest standards are maintained and any non-compliance issues are actioned appropriately. You will cover all aspects of Health and Safety, Technical, Customer Service and Auditing responsibilities and drive best practice through your team. You will continue to ensure BRC Grade A and PIU Green status. As well as communicating effectively with the retailers you also use your influencing skills effectively to lead the team.

Possessing first class customer handling and development experience, you will be a confident Technical Manager who can assist both the commercial team via your professionalism with customers and support Operations via your ability to diplomatic challenge any unreasonable client demands. Ideally you will have had exposure to managing a chilled high care / high-risk food environment and been instrumental in gaining BRC Version 5 A grade status and/or awarded a PIU Green level accreditation.
