Engineering Manager - Food and Drinks Manufacturing

Job Description

Our client is part of a major food manufacturing group with global operations that turnover in excess of £1 billion. One of their leading sites is currently looking for a strong Engineering Manager with extensive site engineering management and major project management experience. Good exposure to PPM and reactive maintenance will be useful but what is essential in this role are good man management and team development skills.

Other key accountabilities will include controlling maintenance expenditure to deliver targeted levels of plant performance in a cost effective manner. You should also be familiar with setting standards, initiating and reviewing procedures as well as measuring performance to ensure continuous improvement.

Additionally you will be required to oversee the provision of training in a range of preventative maintenance techniques to deliver engineering performance targets and keep on track with their 'lean' programme.

The ideal candidate will come from a FMCG and ideally food background with a strong track record of reducing down time and maximising machine performance within highly automated manufacturing environments.
