This is an exciting Technical Manager role working for a leading chilled food manufacturer in Staffordshire.

Our Client is a successful supplier of chilled products to the Major Retailers with an impressive newly purpose built factory with capacity to grow. The Retailer relationships are positive.

Job Description

Reporting into the Operations Director, you will be the champion for food safety and quality management systems, including HACCP, and reducing the cost of non-conformance across all areas of the Company by developing, driving and auditing factory GMP an best practice standards.

It is critical that you have major retailer, ideally Tesco, knowledge and credibility, personal gravitas and be pro-active and innovate thinking. With the recent merger there is a need to bring in a strong technical resource to drive the customer facing agenda and start to be build a talent pool for a potential Technical Director role.

The right candidate will have consistently achieved throughout their career, and be a strong team player with well-developed influencing skills. We need to find an individual who is seen as a peer to the Management Team.

The ideal candidate will have:

· Tesco technical systems knowledge and credibility

· Food background, preferably chilled/diary

· Proactive forward thinking individual

· Excellent influencing skills, both customer facing and within the business

· Ability to lead, motivate and develop the Technical team
