Retail Technical Systems Manager

Job Description

This is an unique opportunity for an individual with both IT and Food technical knowledge and experience to join a leading retailer. Based in West Yorkshire, the Technical Systems Manager will identifying new system requirements, incorporating them in the technical IT roadmap and translating them into tangible IT solutions. You will manage external service providers and ensure that existing systems are being fully utilised, and new ways of working are supported and effectively communicated.

The successful candidate will be degree qualified with experience in retail and/or the manufacturing sector. You will have working knowledge of legislation relating to food composition and labelling, and have a high degree of computer literacy with proven ability in the development and application of technical IT solutions.

This role would be suitable for someone who is working in the Technical or Quality function and constantly looking to implement IT systems to improve processes. Maybe you started your career in Quality or Technical management and have moved into an IT support role. Or perhaps you are a food technical professional with a solid understanding of Micros software.
