Job Description

My client is a retailer that never compromises on food quality. From artisan breads and hand made confectionary through to fresh fish and regional cheeses, this retailer ensures it carefully sources from suppliers who share their passion for organic product.

As a result of growth, they are now looking for a like-minded individual to join their grocery team, supporting a broad range of retail based merchandising activities. As a key member of the regional team, you will manage and improve Buying practices with suppliers, conduct regional category reviews and communicate internally and externally all relevant promotional activity. A key element to the role will be supporting the management of cost of goods through your ability to negotiate and manage retail data.

To be successful you will be an experienced Buyer or merchandiser from within the food industry. You will need to be a versatile person who can work to tight deadlines, and carry out a number of different tasks when required. Analytical with an attention to detail, you will have strong merchandising skills coupled with the commerciality to identify, negotiate and manage a large supply base.
