Operations Manager

Job Description

This is an exceptional opportunity for a Manufacturing Manager or Operations Manager with experience of working within the food sector to join a progressive growing business as an effective Number 2 for the operation.

Based in the Yorkshire region and reporting to the Site Director, your key responsibilities will involve providing leadership and direction to the operational teams, specifically Production, Logistics and Planning. You will develop and manage the day-to-day activities in the factory to meet daily and weekly KPIs whilst maintaining and increasing production efficiencies and site performance. You will also lead continuous improvement teams to drive forward changes in plant and process, and maintain and develop a quality conscious and technically sound workplace culture.

You will already be a successful Operations Manager from within the food and drink industry with experience of driving continuous improvements and change management initiatives. Leadership and drive are the key factors for this position, so you will need to be able to demonstrate an inherent ability to motivate and drive a manufacturing workforce mixed with permanent and temporary labour. You will be seen as a future figurehead within the organisation, and as someone who will not only influence a workforce but also provide strategic thinking as to how the business can grow and develop.
