Cost Analyst - Food Manufacturing

This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with a commercial / business analyst background to join one of the UK's most innovative and exciting industries.

My client is an own label food manufacturer that produce a comprehensive range of chilled based food products for the UK's major grocery retailers. Launching in excess of 100 different products each year requires the business to keep close to production costs and as a result the business is looking to appoint a Cost Analyst to monitor and manage new product development costs.

Reporting to the Site Financial Controller, you will work closely with the food development teams providing financial and analytical support to all current and new product development. You will manage the costs related to new recipes, set up and manage MRP systems related to the Bill of Materials (BoM's). You will be seen as the main point of contact for the NPD and commercial teams when discussing product launch costs and will regularly work with customers to ensure such costs are communicated accordingly.

Degree educated with a relevant finance qualification, you will ideally have experience of working within an FMCG manufacturing business. Your experience will be centred on management accounting establishing budget and actual cost of operations, processes and departments. You will be a highly analytical individual with exceptional communication skills who thrives on working in fast paced environments.
