Job Description

An experienced and hands on Commercial Controller is required to support, lead and facilitate ambitious growth plans within the short shelf life, chilled, own label food category. The client's customer base is a broad and enviable one and it has a reputation for innovative and forward thinking food development.

The business now requires a Commercial Controller who has a strong pedigree with the major UK retailers. They will need to be a tenacious sales professional that can influence and deliver at a strategic level, ensuring continual and proactive account development. The business works at incredible pace so the successful person will ideally have worked in a similar chilled foods environment where they can put the demands of the retailers first. As well as front line account development, you will also manage a commercial team including Account Managers and marketing support.

This role is seen as a critical appointment to the business so you need to be a heavyweight, commercial food professional who has a proven ability of working with the likes of Tesco, M&S, Asda, and Morrisons at a strategic level.
