Laboratory Manager - Chilled Foods

Our client is a major chilled foods manufacturer that has gained a reputation for both its innovation and delivering products to the market that have been extensively welcomed by the consumer. A critical part of this process focuses on maintaining food safety standards and developing ingredients for the next generation of winning products. Pivotal to this is the role of a Laboratory Manager, who can create manage and deliver a planned approach to improving the process and production criteria associated with the products on site, ensuring that it matches the site requirements and delivers the strategic business goals. As well as managing the laboratory team, budget, key suppliers and interfacing with the quality team, a high priority objective will be to ensure compliance with CLAS / DCLAS & GLP standards

Ideally you will have Experience of working in a CLAS accredited laboratory, within the FMCG food industry and have knowledge of chemical and microbiology analysis. Additionally experience of managing a team is essential as is excellent communication computer skills. With this being a flagship operation this is a highly visible role with a great deal of contact with major influencers and managers that could facilitate future career progression and personal development.
