Quality Account Manager - Food Manufacturing

Job Description

We are charged with the recruitment of a Quality Account Manager for a leading Branded/Own label Food manufacturer. This is a customer (Retailer) facing role, working at the Head Office there will be travel to visit the multiple manufacturing sites across the UK, Retailer Customers and Suppliers.

The scope of the role will be to manage, strengthen and develop the company's technical performance in respect of Retailer technical requirements. There are no direct reports to this position.

The position is directly customer facing and requires strong and effective communication with operational management at manufacturing sites and centrally as well as commercial account teams, procurement and other technically based head office colleagues. The position requires effective influencing skills to achieve results across multiple functions to deliver customer requirements.

The jobholder has daily contact with customers and is consequently expected to deal directly with most operational matters as they occur. All decisions taken must also reflect the impact that these have on other customers and the company itself.


The key accountabilities include:

· To conduct Supplier Assurance Audits to ensure that quality standards are met
· To ensure all non conformances raised at customer audits are agreed and followed up with
actions taken.
· To ensure customer technical queries and problems are answered and resolved to enable a
permanent conclusion.
· To ensure Product specifications are completed accurately approved and issued to plan. To
assess legal compliance of art work and advertisement material

To apply for this role you will need:

You will have a Degree in Food Science together with a background in food manufacturing.

You will need a good understanding of Quality Management Systems, Laboratory methods and Good manufacturing practice

Ideally you will have experience of dealing with Retailers and Supplier audits
