Job Description

Have you thought about swapping split shifts and 13hrs days and restaurant service for a completely new environment, one that will challenge and test and fully utilise your culinary skills? You will be involved in developing chilled value added products to major retail clients, you will need to be flexible in your approach and be prepared to travel to meet with clients and go the extra mile to deliver beyond their expectation.

NPD / New Product Development is a chance for you as a Chef to transfer your craft skills into a new environment which will genuinely offer broader food long term career opportunities. We have an opening for a Chef with flair and talent who knows ingredients, trends, seasonality and provenance to work on value added meal solutions. Join a very successful product development team who will train and support. Ideally you will have a classical training that has formed the foundation from which your culinary career has developed and progressed. You will need to have sustained periods of employment and be able to demonstrate that you have contributed to a menu offering, considered quality and cost. Being a team player who can share and enthuse about food, be excited and receptive to new ways of working, not afraid to be challenged or challenge. You will need to be polished in your personal presentation, have a professional approach to gain credibility from senior managers and comfortable presenting to clients.
