Development Chef

Job Description

A Development Chef preferably with one or two years food manufacturing experience is required to join a strong chef development team to develop classic chilled ready meals and new fresh ready meals for retail clients. You will be accountable for recipe innovation based on customer briefs and also expected to take the initiative working proactively to keep clients a head of the market. You will become the product guardian from concept stage through factory hand over and beyond for a given period ensuring that product consistency and integrity are maintained. You will also be accountable for working closely with process and technical teams ensuring that all relevant paper work is meticulously accurate. It will be the Development Chefs responsibility to keep up to date with food trends and competitor activity. Help source new raw materials and constantly consider ways of upgrading existing product ranges and new efficiencies that will reflect product improvements and cost savings. Ref JBM7849
