Junior Development Chef/Sample Chef - This role is suited to a candidate who perhaps has reached Chef de Partie level with a couple of appointments in very good restaurants or perhaps for someone who has completed a BA in Culinary Arts with kitchen placement experience, at the beginning of their career in the food industry - suited to a Chef who wishes to learn from the 'grass roots' the fundamentals of working in Food New Product Development. This is a supporting role and will involve lots of comparative shopping, and sample making working alongside and reporting to an experienced NPD Chef. You'll be assisting with the preparation of NPD related paper work including presentations, storing and archiving detailed information following benchmarking exercises and reviews and preparing samples for customers. Personally you will need to be a meticulous organiser, have an eye for detail and possess a high degree of common sense. A car driver is essential.
