Job Description

This major chilled food manufacturer is looking to expand the NPD department of its business based in Central Scotland, with the appointment of an experienced project and people manager to help spearhead the team.

You will be working closely with the category team of one of the UK's top retailers to ensure new and exciting products continue to tempt us. You will need to have experience of overseeing the critical path of own label product development, ideally chilled and at the premium end of the market - M&S, Waitrose, Sainsbury. .

The brief here is about keeping ahead of the competition whilst delivering budgeted margins - so you will need to demonstrate a flair for food innovation along with a commercial appreciation of the consumer market. As you will be working very closely with retailer Developers, your influencing and interpersonal skills will need to be strong. Man management experience is also preferred, as you will be responsible for motivating and developing a team of NPD professionals.

The option exists to commute to Edinburgh on a weekly (4/5day) basis.
