Business Development Manager/Account Manager

Job Description

Our client is a leading UK and Irish supplier of value added meat products to some of the biggest names in retail, food service and manufacturing. Operating from state-of-the art facilities, and with a new build factory project underway, our client is now looking to further strengthen the Senior team by the appointment of a Business Development Manager/Account Manager.

Reporting to the Managing Director your primary role will include developing business in new and challenging directions both in terms of product sector and customer profile working closely alongside Technical and New Product Development teams to ensure timely and cost effective delivery. Your role will also include day-to-day management and development of existing premium accounts.

Ideally degree educated and with experience in red meat or poultry in a similar role, you will be used to thriving in a fast moving, customer driven environment. You will be a strong, hands-on manager, demonstrating the ability to operate under pressure and lead from the front. You will have excellent organisational skills, strong commercial acumen and a flexible approach to work.
