Departmental Manager

Job Description

Our client is a major multi-national manufacturer of premium chilled and frozen products supplying the retail sector with branded and own label ranges. With significant capital investment planned, a business that is growing year on year and an award winning product portfolio, our client is now looking to further strengthen the management team with the appointment of a Departmental Manager.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager and operating alongside the wider factory team, you will have full responsibility for a shift of circa 50 people and will manage day-to-day production across the area under your control. Responsibilities will include delivery of stringent KPI's, ensuring product quality is optimum, and management of any disciplinary issues arising.

Ideally with a degree in a food related subject, you will have appropriate management experience leading a team in a similar department in a fast moving, customer driven environment. You will be a proven leader and will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of 'modern manufacturing techniques'. A good communicator and team player you will have excellent organisational skills, strong commercial acumen and a flexible approach to work.
