Marketing Manager

Job Description

Reporting to the Category Marketing Manager, in this large own label food business.
The role purpose is to work across consumer data, consumer insight and marketing strategy to ensure that the business is seen as category leaders within its retail sector. It is to engage with consumer and customer thinking and develop strategies that push the market forward.

You will have experience of using Retailer data tools e.g. Dunnhumby, Retail Link etc. You will also have gained exposure to Consumer research. You will have experience of organising and leading category reviews for a sector/product area.

You will be flexible with regard to travel, as this role will spend time in Notts and the South West area.

You will need good communication and influencing skills to deliver presentations to the retailers. You will have the attention to detail necessary to ensure that market data is correctly analysed and appropriately utilised in order to set the direction for the market.

The position will suit someone who is able to apply themselves closely to the detailed aspects of the role, whilst ensuring they are tracking several projects at once. You will be an excellent communicator, both written and orally, and will be able to adapt your style to suit that of your audience.

This is an influential and pivotal role and you will be speaking to Retailers, Food Manufacturing Teams and the Marketing and Commercial Teams.

This role is Retailer Facing and therefore it is imperative that the successful candidate has Retailer exposure. Ideally the candidate should have a food background but other FMCG categories will be considered.
