Job Description

Our client is a major food group who supply own label chilled food products to the UK retail and foodservice sectors. Renowned for providing innovative and attractive products to all the major UK retailers, the business is focussed on attracting individuals who share its passion for the production and development of quality food products.

The business is currently experiencing a growth period and as a result is looking to add a Technical Manager to an already successful management team.

As the technical lead for the team, you will maintain and improve the technical systems to the highest standards ensuring all non-compliance issues are actioned appropriately. You will cover all aspects of Health and Safety, Technical, Customer Service and Auditing responsibilities and drive best practice through your team of QA's. Assessing and delivering both suppliers' and own company product specifications and customer requirements will be critical; as will ensuring compliance with national and international standards.

To be considered for the role, you will have strong experience from within a quality, hygiene or technical department within a chilled foods manufacturer and your experience will have included the setting up and maintenance of controls and documentation such as HACCP. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to work in a varied and fast paced production environment where the ability to think on your feet and contribute to a team will be vital.

You may currently be a senior Quality Manager or Quality Assurance Manager looking for the next step up. Alternatively you will currently be a Technical Manager who is looking for an opportunity to work within a business that will give you genuine career development and the autonomy to grow and develop your skill set.
