Job Description

Category Procurement Manager, based Lincolnshire: Our client is looking to appoint a Procurement Manager who is an expert in Leaf and Protected Crop. You will be responsible for developing the category's procurement strategy, working closely with site procurement teams to achieve delivery at site and group level, adding value at all times. This will entail ensuring the Group Benefits from a sustainable competitive advantage in the procurement of its Leaf and Protected Crops. Your expertise will enable you to develop robust and dynamic supply chain strategies on a European and sometimes global level, which take into account all aspects of the market in order to deliver site requirements.

You will play a major role in building relationships with key suppliers and ensure that the Group Benefits in terms of value, quality, service and innovation targets. Furthermore, you will ensure the existence of a robust risk management strategy embraces all UK Group businesses.

Clearly you will need to have strong influencing skills on an external level but just as important will be your ability to indirectly guide the outputs of the site teams to meet overall objectives.
