QA Auditor (4+ month contract)

Job Description

A major blue chip food company in Somerset set a dedicated food quality auditor with previous experience in the food industry. Duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Audit/sign off production paperwork/processes to ensure compliance
2. Report non-conformance findings and actions taken to Senior QA/Technical services Manager as appropriate and relevant Production Manager/Supervisor on a timely basis
3. Complete daily/weekly calibrations as required
4. Ensure all relevant QA records are maintained in a timely manner e.g. hold/reject, foreign body sweep, metal rejections
5. Issue concessions where appropriate
6. Evaluate product before despatch and ingredient quality as necessary against specification
7. Weekly hygiene audit
8. Glass log
9. Collect raw material samples as per schedule
10. Complete monthly internal audits as per schedule
11. Train production operators in the CCPs as necessary
12. Monitor Icespy/Woodley reporting OOS to engineers and complete action log on a daily basis
13. Weekly audit of weigh up
14. Monitor micro results on LIMS at weekends
15. Carry out non conformance investigations where appropriate (complaints/micro)

Anyone with experience of quality assurance or auditing within the food industry will be considered for this role as long as you have drive and team work skills.
