Research Scientist

Job Description

This role lies within a large research organisation who offer independent and trusted advice to the food and drink industry. The post holder will work on ingredients analysis and other ingredients-related technical projects as appropriate. These will include:

· Laboratory-scale preparation of samples
· Analysis using a variety of techniques such as viscometers, rheology and particle size
measurement
· Trouble-shooting exercises. The post holder will also manage small projects under the
direction of the team leader, and be responsible for the maintenance of the equipment
and laboratory

The ideal candidate will have product development experience (NPD) ideally within the ingredients sector. They should have a working knowledge of a laboratory environment and a food educational background. This will be a client facing role so commercial awareness will be important.
