Food Technologist - Food Manufacturing

Job Description

Working for a growing chilled food manufacturer, as Food Technologist, you will report to the Technical Coordinator, provide technical support to Technical Team, working in a fast passed manufacturing environment. You will ensure chilled foods meet food safety, legality and specific customer requirements. This is a customer facing role which involves working with the NPD and Operation Teams, coordinating production trials, responding to customer requests/queries, generate technical pack copy information, approving artwork, labels and packaging and completing customer specifications.

It is essential that you have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, good administrative skills, good computer skills Word / Excel and Web based systems, good understanding of technical food specification writing and an understanding of up to date food legislation and food labelling regulations. You will have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, be a good team player, experience within a technical role and running factory trials in the food industry and a food related qualification.
