Head of Technical - Food Manufacturer

Job Description

Working for a leading chilled food manufacturer in the North West, as Head of Technical you will develop and drive a Technical Strategy for the department, which meets the strategic needs of the business. You will ensure technical compliance is effectively measured across the business and where necessary corrective and preventative action plans are put into place. Be responsible for overseeing customer/supplier communication on technical matters and co-ordinates cross customer and/or cross factory issues. You will provide technical expertise to the Business Executive team and technical input to the formulation of business strategy, budget and performance improvement plans.

The ideal candidate will have:

· Excellent Leadership, Communication and Organisational skills
· Proven retailer experience demonstrating sound business relationships with customers and suppliers
· Experience of People Development and Managing a Team
· Business acumen/ Strategic thinking
· Background of Technical Management with demonstrable technical competency
· Budget Management Experience
· Graduate Calibre
· Previous experience as part of a Senior Management Team.
· Previous experience within a Chilled Food Business (short shelf life)
· Previous experience of multi retailer management
· Previous experience of a number of chilled product categories.
