Production Team Manager - Food Manufacturing

Job Description

Our client has a blue chip reputation with multiple sites, within a fast paced food manufacturing environment. They are actively seeking a Production Team Manager/Manufacturing Line Leader/Front Line Supervisor/First Line Manager who has worked within a Food Manufacturing environment. This is a day based role working Monday to Friday.

To meet the future plans of the site we are looking to recruit a Production Team Manager who will be able to drive performance and efficiency forward. The main purpose of the role will be to optimise top quality service by the Production Team through the safe, efficient and effective use of resources throughout the working day.

Reporting to the Engineering Operations Manager, and responsible for a team of operators and machine minders, the successful candidate will be focusing their team on a proactive approach to safety, quality, hygiene and housekeeping to ensure standards are maintained and improved. Above and beyond this, they will be expected to drive continuous improvement in all areas by encouraging innovation and taking action where there are failures.

As Production Team Manager you will manage a team of operators within a labour intensive food manufacturing environment. Ideally you will come with lean manufacturing fundamentals/techniques such as Kaizen, SMED, 5's with excellent analytical and man-management skills. Ideally you will be a manufacturing or engineering Graduate (or equivalent) who has completed your first role within an Food manufacturing environment.
