Job Description

£40,000 - £50,000 plus Car/ Car Allowance, Bonus, Health Plan Contributory pension

Our client is a leading food manufacturer producing own label products for a Quality driven Retailer. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a team who have delivered some successful change management initiatives and have excellent growth plans. The main purpose of the role is to manage all company Health, Safety and Environmental processes and activities on the site, advising on management and legislative requirements, providing all relevant technical information to both internal and external customers. You will work closely with the management team on all H&S issues ie statutory duties and requirements, accident prevention, risk assessment, safe working practice, safe procedures, protective equipment, suitability of new equipment and advice on building matters. The essence of this role is about driving HSE forward and ensuring the production team see this as a daily responsibility. The site already has good policies and processes in place so you will need to ensure engagement in these across the site. The ideal candidate will have experience in Safety, Health and Environmental ideally in food/FMCG manufacturing environment. To drive this critical subject through the business and to heighten awareness and practice you will be a charismatic and ambitious individual who is keen to make their mark in this highly successful and growing business. You will be well organised, with strong results orientation and display natural leadership skills.
