Summary

The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the Process team in meeting site objectives and support the Management Team.

The role is working for a leading name in Food and Drink Manufacturing.

Job Description

You will have experience working with automated machinery and be able to manage a team.  Your CV will demonstrate clearly process improvement projects and what benefits these have made to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the process team while delivering depart initiatives and site business plans
  • Meet daily and weekly targets whilst ensuring product is of highest quality for customer satisfaction. Targets include process waste, standardisation results, quality results, chemical budget, production downtime .
  • Active member of the Site Management Team, communicate and coordinate with other team leaders and managers to achieve site objectives
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with HSE and Quality control guidelines
  • Continuous improvement and optimisation of department operation
  • Ensure all documentation is complete for traceability purposes
  • Ensure hygiene and cleaning standards are met
  • Address any non-conformances raised by internal and external audits and active involvement in the audits
  • Ensure participation in maintenance activities by operators, Continuous
  • Improvement and problem solving
  • Carrying out Daily Review Meetings
  • Liaise with the project team for successful delivery of the process projects

Skills

To be considered you must be able to show leadership and initiative and have experience of working in a process role in a food processing environment. You will have experience of implementing lean and process improvements (waste reduction and standardisation) in a dairy/food processing environment and have experience of HACCP and customer audits.

Your academic background will be in either Food Processing, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering.  You will need experience in Food and Drink Manufacturing to apply.
